GATEWALKERS Open Beta Starts on February 3; Co-Op Survival Game Gets Fresh Trailer

The team at A2 Softworks has some good news for fans of isometric role-playing games, as Gatewalkers is still on course to debut in Q2 2021 — and what's even better, you will be able to check it out even before its fast-approaching launch. That's right, Gatewalkers will be playable during the next Steam Game Festival.
According to the Poznan-based video game developer and publisher, you will be able to join a beta technical test for Gatewalkers on February 3, 2021. The beta will be available for all players at no additional cost.
At its core, Gatewalkers is a "cooperative survival game with action RPG elements" — so it's thematically similar to hack'and'slash games like Diablo and Torchlight — also featuring procedurally generated worlds, extreme weather conditions, and even various dangers caused by lack of adequate water supplies.
Although the Drill Deal: Borehole team's next big thing is inspired by Blizzard's hellishly good adventures, there's at least one major difference between Gatewalkers and Diablo — the former doesn't feature any predefined character classes, allowing you to freely experiment with different builds from the get-go.
