SNIPER GHOST WARRIOR: CONTRACTS 2 Release Date Will Be Revealed Soon; Base Game Is Almost Finished

In a new interview with Polish website Strefa Inwestorów, CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński revealed some fresh details about Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, including the current state of development on the sequel and its release date. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a little bit longer than expected to actually play it.

Although Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 was supposed to make its debut between the beginning of January and end of March 2021 — in a perfect world, it would've arrived back in 2020 as originally planned — the FPS will now be releasing in Q2 2021 (so it should hit store shelves by the end of this June). It will be available for PS4, PS5, XBO, XS, and PC, but it's not clear if the shooter will launch on all these platforms at the same time.

What we do know is that the official release date for Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will be revealed as soon as this Friday, March 5. Sadly, you should not expect to see any big cinematics — sorry, Digic Pictures fans — as CI Games is planning to reach a bigger audience without actually spending millions on trailers and TV ads.

According to the CEO, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is being created by a team of 130 people. They are currently focusing on eliminating bugs and tweaking the code, as the FPS is almost finished and ready to go.

Since its debut in 2010, the Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise has sold over 11 million copies. The most recent entry in the series — 2019's Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts — has shipped more than one million units so far.
