Xenomorphs Ain't Got Sh*t on Colonial Marines in Intense ALIENS: FIRETEAM Gameplay Footage

Following yesterday's big reveal of Cold Iron Studios' Aliens: Fireteam, IGN has shared over 25 minutes of pure gameplay footage from the highly anticipated third-person shooter that will allow you to channel your inner Colonial Marine. Thankfully, the co-op TPS looks nothing like Gearbox's actual Aliens: Colonial Marines.

In Aliens: Fireteam, you will join forces with 2 other soldiers to deal with every horrific unwanted guest — including Weyland-Yutani's forces — roaming a colony on LV-895 — and players who rather enjoy playing alone should be happy to hear that they will always be accompanied be A.I. teammates during their quest.

Still, it would be quite exhilarating to experience this new cycle of terror from a first-person perspective, but Cold Iron Studios' decision to use a third-person camera for their game also makes sense. After all, Aliens: Fireteam can only benefit from having very few similarities with the most disappointing video game of 2013.

The first major video game set in the Ridley Scott-created universe since 2014's Alien: Isolation will hit stores this summer, so we should learn a whole lot more about Cold Iron Studios' debut project in the near future.

Without further ado, take a closer look at the action-packed Aliens: Fireteam gameplay footage down below:
